American Bar Association Law Student Division National President Election Approaching The American Bar Association Law Student Division (ABA/LSD) will be holding an election for Cooley's national president. The National President will serve as the official ABA/LSD representative for Thomas M. Cooley Law School at all ABA/LSD meetings, conferences and events in the Circuit, the Division, and the Association and act as a liaison between the National ABA/LSD and all TMC ABA/LSD Chapters. The president will be chosen in school-wide election during week four. Students interested in running should submit all election documents to (cooleyabalsd@gmail.com).
Election Documents 1. A one page Candidate Statement that summarizes your qualifications and platform to hold the position of National ABA/LSD Rep. & President of your respective campus. Please ensure that your statement omits any information, which may enable others to readily identify your specific TMCLS campus affiliation. Please note that your statement will be posted for public viewing by the entire student body at all TMCLS campuses, subject to approval by the National ABA/LSD Elections Committee (required). 2. Submit an electronic headshot that will be posted on the Elections webpage (optional). 3. Read the Elections Rules and Guidelines governing this election (available of the Elections Webpage) and certify with your signature that you are aware and agree with the rules as set forth by the National ABA/LSD Elections Committee (required). A final e-mail confirmation will be emailed to each candidate upon successful verification of all information provided, and receipt of all required documents.
